Transalley Technology Park – Valenciennes

It was to the south of Valenciennes, on the outskirts of the university campus, that Valenciennes Métropole began development in January 2011 on a technology park dedicated to hosting activities related to transport and mobility ( including the globally oriented i-Trans and Railenium competitiveness clusters, a Technological Research Institute for Rail Infrastructure which is the subject of the IRT call for applications under the ‘Programme d’Investissement d’Avenir’). The technology park is 15 minutes from Valenciennes, 40 minutes from Lille and 2 hours from Paris or 100 km from Brussels.

Spanning 34 hectares, this project will centre on a programme comprising 180,000 ^m² of buildings (low-energy or passive) which will house applied research laboratories, technology platforms, premises for businesses, and accommodation for students and researchers.

Land and commercial premises in Valenciennes

The following are available at the Transalley Technology Park: commercial premises and plots of land, with workshops to follow by the end of 2017.

As part of the ‘Innovative Campus Plan’, the first three property developments will be realised: the Institute for Sustainable Transport, the International Institute of Management, and a university hall of residence to accommodate 250 students and researchers (currently under construction).

These facilities will complement the CISIT (International Campus for Transport Safety and Intermodality) and the BTMD Test Centre.
