The Cambacérès district, situated around the Sud de France station, will cover an area of 35 hectares and will house over 500,000 m² of commercial premises and higher education institutions. From 2024, over 60,000 m² of offices will be available.

Cambacérès will be a true example of a neighbourhood committed to transition. It will be home to the Halle de l’Innovation, an 8,116 m² space dedicated to French Tech, as well as a metropolitan urban park stretching over 30 hectares. Furthermore, a further 100 hectares of agricultural land will be preserved to create urban forests.

This mixed-use neighbourhood will play a vital role in providing spaces for businesses and training, whilst becoming a popular destination for events and cultural activities in the Montpellier metropolitan area.

A new business district between the sea and the city centre

This neighbourhood enjoys excellent transport links, particularly thanks to the extension of tram line 1. The Odysseum shopping centre and the Sud de France TGV station are just a 5-minute walk away.

Montpellier city centre is a 15-minute journey from the district, whilst Montpellier Airport is just 5 minutes away, thanks in particular to direct access to the A709 motorway.

Which businesses have chosen to set up in the Cambacérès neighbourhood?

Several businesses and higher education institutions have chosen to set up in the Cambacérès district. These include the MBS Business School, Purple Campus (a training centre specialising in the catering, tourism and hospitality sectors) and Campus Ynov (a school focused on digital technology).

The Cambacérès district will be home to the Halle de l’Innovation, which will include an incubator and a business nursery for French Tech companies. Other organisations present include Crédit Agricole du Languedoc, the Hérault Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and the Occitanie Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).
