Plaine de l’Ain Industrial Park

The first industrial estate in Europe to be ISO 14001-certified, EMAS-registered (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) and awarded the LUCIE label (ISO 26000) for its commitment to sustainable development, the Parc Industriel de la Plaine de l’Ain is home to more than 160 businesses spread across nearly 900 hectares, of which 290 hectares are available for sale and free of building restrictions.

Situated 35 minutes from the centre of Lyon, it enjoys an ideal location close to Saint-Exupéry Airport and major roads and motorways. Existing facilities:

• Drinking water: Drinking water is supplied by the Park’s infrastructure. Two intake points, situated near the River Ain and with a pumping capacity of 8,000 ^m³ (over 20 hours), currently supply two water towers (storage capacity of 4,500 ^m³).
• Industrial water is pumped from the groundwater table
• Sewage: a separate network for wastewater and rainwater is in place within the Park, with two safety basins and two buffer basins
• Wastewater treatment plant: capacity of 40,000 population equivalents
• Telecommunications: ADSL , supplemented by a ‘fibre-optic’ network across the entire Park
• Electricity: Standard 20,000-volt supply (medium and high voltage), distributed via underground cables
• Natural gas network: 4 and 16 bar network
• A railway line running through the Park from north to south (from the Ambérieu marshalling yard to the Bugey nuclear power station)
• Fire training area made available to businesses to carry out their training in a suitable facility
