The South African CIBA chooses Reims to set up its offices in Europe
CIBA, a partner of major multinationals, has chosen Reims as the location for its European headquarters and to pursue its development in France and the rest of Western Europe.
With almost 200 employees in South Africa, CIBA - which specialises in helping companies optimise their competitiveness through artificial intelligence - is working with many international groups on the implementation of the 4th industrial revolution.
Setting up in Reims to boost its development
To accelerate its expansion on the Old Continent, the company has chosen to locate its European headquarters in Reims. Just a stone's throw from Paris and at the heart of Europe, the capital of Champagne was quickly identified by CIBA as the ideal site for developing its activities in Europe. Speaking at the event, Sean Kevin Ammon, CIBA's Managing Director, added: "The Grand Est, and Reims in particular, fit perfectly with our company's global strategy. It provides a base of operations for our business and a home base for our expansion into continental Europe. In addition to the area's strategic location, its expertise in the field of artificial intelligence - notably through the Reims Robotics Academy and the ROMEO Computing Centre - were also strong arguments in convincing CIBA that the Greater Reims Urban Community had all the qualities it needed for its development project in Europe. A high quality real estate offer also enabled the company to quickly find offices suited to its activity.
The support of Greater Reims and Invest Eastern France - which helps international entrepreneurs set up in Eastern France - was also greatly appreciated by the South African company, which intends to recruit around twenty employees over the next three years to continue its development.
